TGIF… No, Really.

TGIF

Well, here we are again at the end of the workweek—and yes, you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid ... just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some "Odds & Ends"

In Rome, Italy, residents in several neighborhoods in northern Rome have imposed a nightly “curfew”…after a spate of attacks by…huh?

In Las Vegas, Nevada, a new state regulation bans grass… no, the other kind.

In Mill Creek, Utah, the real estate market is so hot (how hot is it?)… that you can, for $575,000 listing, get a house known to be contaminated with…

In Dallas, Texas, Michael Bise, upon his graduation from college in 1992, got a job at his local Gap store…and that led to something of an obsession…

In Orlando, Florida, Google’s mapping satellite captured something very odd…hiding behind the Frito Lay plant here…

In Southfield, Michigan, an unnamed school bus driver…while escorting his charges, preoccupied such that he (apparently) missed the signs alerting him to a construction zone…and some not-yet-set concrete…and yes, we have pictures…

And now for the main "events":

In Sac City, Iowa, Eric Muggenberg wanted to make a bold, public profession of his affection…which he did, albeit on his way to a charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief… oh, and there was this…

In St. Mary’s, Australia, a COVID-19 testing center had to be closed…due to an influx of…

In Bellevue, Nebraska, an unnamed family…hearing someone moving around upstairs…called police to report a burglary in process…it made a clean getaway, however…

And finally in Dunedin, Florida, law enforcement officials during a vehicle stop, found a vehicle containing a 9mm handgun, ammunition, and “a trafficking amount of narcotics”… all of which appeared to belong to an individual who, asked to identify himself, said his name was…well, he provided what turned out to be an false name… a fingerprint scanner led them to discover that he was, in fact, Todd Michael Burns, 44…who had a rap sheet that included numerous drug convictions…as well as convictions for grand theft, disorderly conduct, violating probation…and carrying a concealed weapon…and he was on probation for a 2019 conviction for meth position…and is also facing burglary and grand theft charges in another county…all of which perhaps explain his reluctance to provide his actual name…(he now also faces charges on providing a false name to police) and as for the name he provided…well, it was a name that some would surely find to be familiar

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
