TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Without question, this has been a rough week—all of us affected in one way or another, and many suffering loss of life and loved ones. I hope you’re well, and safe—and offer the following in hopes that it will provide a brief respite in your day at this critical time…

In Seattle, Washington, an unnamed 51-year-old man was pulled over in his 1996 Buick… after fleeing a hit-and-run incident… and leading police on a high-speed chase on an Interstate freeway… more than 100 mph… when he was finally stopped by spike strips… but his explanation for his driving was… well, it was unusual, to say the least…

In Cheshire, UK, an unnamed man had made a purchase on eBay… and, despite the Coronavirus lockdown, he was determined to pick up his purchase… Now, the purchase wasn’t big in terms of money (£15), but it was apparently large enough that for the 220-mile return trip home his wife had to sit… where?

In Brattleboro, Vermont, a 41-year-old man (an Atlanta, Georgia resident) was arrested recently after having been charged with multiple counts of distribution of illegal substances… His name? Well, you could say he was “bad, bad…”

In Beverly Hills, California, officers pulled over a stolen SUV here… They may not have wiped out crime with this stop… but they seem to have made a clean sweep…

In Austin, Texas, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller thinks he has a possible solution to the perceived shortage of toilet paper caused by the Coronavirus outbreak… It seems there’s a bit of a language “barrier”…

In Yukon Territory, Canada, our friends to the north have a unique contest that has been going on since 2011…  with winners in five categories: Best Male, Best Female, Best Group, Nongshim's People's Choice, and Tim Horton's Most Creative… The winner for each category gets CAD $2,000… in addition to free hot springs passes (its sponsored by Takhini Hot Pools)… Check out the winners!

And finally, I know a lot (all?) of you have been sheltering in place this week, and based on the posts on social media, lots of remote meetings and conference calls. Seemed like a good time to share this:

Have a great weekend, folks! Again, stay safe, stay well, wash those hands—our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to those on the frontlines of the pandemic.
