TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Another long and tumultuous week… we continue to wish you and yours safety and good health—and offer the following in hopes that it will provide a brief respite in your day at this (still) critical time…

In Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, an unnamed individual was assaulted by passersby at the local Sheetz… in a white Nissan four-door car… with a West Virginia license plate… and a missing hubcap on the front right wheel… the assault was, as you might imagine, unusual…

In Lodgepole, Nebraska, there’s been an outbreak… no, not COVID-19…

In Boston, Massachusetts, an unnamed driver was apparently late getting to the Morrissey Boulevard bridge here… or maybe he thought he could actually fly up the ramp… Only in the movies, apparently…

So, how big can a bat get, anyway? Bigger than that. Way bigger than that.

In Kent, Washington, an unnamed 37-year-old was apparently in a hurry… and ran a red light… he should perhaps have waited…

In Phoenix, Arizona, there may not (yet) be any football, but Phillip Blanks, 28, a former wide receiver in college… still made one heck of a catch!

While travelling from West Palm Beach, Floridato LaGuardia Airport in NYC, an Airbus A319 encountered a… bird strike… and was rerouted to nearby JFK Airport… Who would have thought birds could do that much damage…

In Queensland, Australia, a 27-year-old driver identified only as “Jimmy” was pulled over by law enforcement for speeding (at about 76 mph)… now, he told the officer that he was rushing to the hospital… and once he explained why, well – let’s just say it was understandable…

And finally, in Denver, Colorado, officer Nicholas Mauro was fired after concealing an unauthorized car chase and filing a false report about the incident… in what a superior called “an extraordinary series of bad decisions”… first following an SUV with a broken tail light… reaching speeds up to 99 mph… while never turning on his lights, siren, or body camera… well, until he crashed into a home… but then, aside from the issue of how he subsequently characterized the incident, the most incredible aspect was… how he covered up the damage to his car…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks! Be safe. Stay strong.
