TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Another long and tumultuous week… we continue to wish you and yours safety and good health—there may (still) be a pandemic going on… and yet, just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

In Lee County, Florida, some unnamed folks got trapped in an elevator here at the Estero Parc community here… but not for the reason you might think…

In Eureka, Oregon, Kevin Simpson, 47, was behind the wheel… of a stolen Dodge 1500 pickup truck… and starting around 10:00 a.m. he was involved in a collision… that turned into a hit-and-run… that turned into another… and another… and another… so, how many cars do you think Kevin crashed into over a 40 mile “journey”?

Remember “murder hornets”? That’s kid stuff.

In Sheffield, Yorks, UK, Albert Ndreu, 26, spent two weeks meticulously planning his perfect proposal after buying a ring for Valerija Madevic, 22… It involved a surprise by filling their living room with several candles… around 100 tea lights… and roughly 60 balloons… Indeed, Albert spent over four hours preparing his romantic setting… two of which were spent blowing up balloons and lighting the candles (we’re talking “Marry Me?” spelled out with those tea lights)… a bottle of Chianti… and a nonstop romance playlist playing on a speaker… What could go wrong?

In Pueblo, Colorado, an unnamed man drew the attention of police when they spotted him… sleeping in a car… behind a motel… Now, since motels have rooms, with beds that you can sleep in… they found it “peculiar”… all the more so when they noticed that the car he was sleeping in had no rear license plate… Unluckily for the slumbering man… it did, however, have a front plate… Suffice it to say, the nap didn’t last much longer…

In Sioux City, Iowa, Mark Gray, 39, has been arrested following his involvement in not one… not two… but three burglaries the morning of August 4… For all that effort, he doesn’t seem to have gotten away with much (actually, since he’s been arrested, he’s not “gotten away” with anything)… but, considering the times we’re in…

And finally, in Montclair, New Jersey, an unnamed woman ordered a pizza for delivery… by Grubhub… who, as part of its contactless delivery policy, left it on her porch… but just watch what happens:

Have a great weekend, folks! Be safe—stay healthy!
