TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

There may (still) be a pandemic going on… not to mention hurricanes, wildfires, and tornados… and yet, just look at what has (still) happened to these guys and gals…

In Fort Pierce, Florida, an unnamed 21-year-old was checking out his teeth in his car’s rear view mirror… while driving his Honda Accord… northbound… only to drift into the lanes running… southbound… and, as you might imagine, that didn’t end well… The good news is, it didn’t take long to file the police report…

In Spencer, Iowa, Jordan Walbaum, 32, stole a Chevy Pickup… Law enforcement was able to catch up to him using the pickup’s OnStar GPS… but Jordan refused to stop… and led authorities on a chase across two counties… and while doing so he continued to toss items out of his vehicle (let’s just say it’s stuff he didn’t want to get caught with)… Eventually, he drove into an alleyway… where he was locked in the vehicle using OnStar Control… ah, but that didn’t stop Jordan… well, not right away…

In St. Johnsville, New York, Jamie M. Lambert, 21, Michael A. Vogel, 22, and Casey L. Battisti, 21, are being sought in connection with a theft… from the St. Johnsville's Kyser House… Now, as it turns out, the reason the three are being sought is that they were actually spotted by deputies making off with their “prize”… What’s less clear is why they stole it…

In Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, an unnamed young driver was pulled over and changed with “stunt driving”… after being clocked at twice the posted speed limit (roughly 75 mph in a 35 mph zone)… The reason he offered for his speeding? Well, let’s just say it wasn’t good enough…

In Largo, Florida, Nicole Dozois, 40, lives—and apparently shares a bedroom with—her 59-year-old father… Well, at around 2:00 a.m. recently, an altercation broke out between the two… over a common, and yet unusual, issue…

In Rapid City, South Dakota, Ayman Doppke was recently fined $1,500… After he pleaded guilty to certain activities, whole prosecutors dismissed charges of disorderly conduct and violating an area closure… so what did he plead guilty to?

In Southfield, Michigan, paramedics were summoned in response to an unnamed 20-year-old woman who had gone into cardiac arrest… Well, as it turns out, she wasn’t breathing when they arrived… and after performing CPR, and having found no signs of life… sadly, she was declared legally dead, and her body delivered to a Detroit funeral home… and then…

In Marion, Massachusetts, Aaron Sawitsky and his bride-to-be Denice Sawitsky, nee McClure, were finally tying the knot, having postponed their planned June wedding date due to COVID-19… the couple removed their masks for the ceremony, and Aaron had just started his vows by joking, “Let’s face it, 2020 has not been the best year…” and then, as if to prove the point…

Hope you have a GREAT weekend, folks!  Stay healthy—and stay safe, particularly those in the path of Hurricane Laura, and the California wildfires!
