TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

There may (still) be a pandemic going on… and yet, just look at what has (still) happened to these guys and gals…

In Detroit, Michigan, Miguel Gomez, 26, apparently watched one too many episodes of “the Dukes of Hazard”… or maybe he’s a fan of Evel Knievel…regardless, you might be able to guess why we’re sharing his story here…

In Lincoln City, Oregon, Nicholas Ellingford, 29, was standing in line at a local supermarket… and, while waiting his turn, he thought he would show off his Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol to a friend… you might be able to guess why we’re sharing his story here…

In St. Paul, Minnesota, Ray Ghansham Persaud, 21, hadn’t completed his assigned homework… and so he decided to call the main switchboard of St. Thomas University and report a bomb… Well, as you might expect considering that we’re sharing his story here, that was a false report… but that’s not why we’re sharing his story here… it has to do with how many times he made this call…

In Chicago, Illinois, memo to IT… if you’re going to do a “phishing” test with workers… this is not the way (or the time) to do it…

In Minneapolis, Minnesota, John Earl Benton Stimpson, 48, was charged with theft of a houseboat… a boat he had reportedly been warned off three times in the past two weeks… police called out to John Earl that the boat wasn’t his, and that he needed to dock the boat… to which John Earl responded that under “maritime law” he was taking the boat to salvage… there’s just one little problem…

Here’s a PSA from the CDC about those Halloween masks…

In York, Pennsylvania, Theo Petersen has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.  He’s 7. What’d he do? Thought you’d never ask…

And finally, in Yakima, Washington, Samuel C Riojas, 38, drew the attention of law enforcement while riding his bike with no light… turning on his emergency lights to get Samuel’s attention, he was puzzled when Samuel not only didn’t pull over… but tried to “get away”… making multiple turns and pedaling the bike “extremely fast”… and then at one point, ditching the bike, tossing a backpack on the ground, and running down a driveway… Samuel then tripped while trying to jump a 3-foot fence… at which point the officer called out, and threatened to use his taser if Samuel didn’t stop… at which point he did… offering a most unusual (and dubious) explanation for his actions…

Have a great weekend, folks!
