TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) in the middle of a pandemic… but (apparently) you just can’t “shelter” stupid… look at what has (still) happened to these guys and gals…

In Brussels, Belgium, Mike Gielen, 24, wanted to get together with his girlfriend Kristel Appelt, 27… only problem is, she was in Berkendaal women’s prison here… (on suspicion of bringing an untimely end to a former boyfriend)… so Mike hired a helicopter… but then as it turned out, the helicopter wasn’t able to land there… and while it gave the other inmates something to get excited about… Mike really wasn’t in any shape to relish it… nor, as it turns out, did he make a “clean” getaway…

In Austin, Texas, Luke Keyes has invented a unique way to facilitate trick-or-treating this Halloween… COVID or not…

In Everett, Washington, two as-yet-unidentified men were involved in a whole different kind of drug robbery… and even a little bear repellant…

Alexander Reben has pushed the boundaries of computational art—this time using OpenAI’s GPT-3—to reveal how humans and machines might collaborate in the future… and in a new exhibit entitled “AI Am I? (The New Aesthetic),” he illustrates the depths to which the concept of AI Art could… plunge?

In Ridge Manor, Florida, Sue Burgess, was “ecstatic” after learning that she won a $1,000 prize in the Florida Lottery's Second Chance Lottery drawing last month… and as she was contemplating collecting that prize… since all claim centers were closed after she won the Second Chance drawing… the Lottery told her she could either send the ticket through the mail… or hand-deliver it to a drop box… she opted to send the ticket through U.S. Postal Service certified mail… thinking that it would be safer than leaving it at a drop box… Guess what?

In Jalpaiguri, India, Sujay Shah, 25, stumbled across a bizarre encounter in his home… Let’s just say it involves a frog… and a spider… a really, really big spider… and yes, we have video… but consider yourself warned…

In San Bernadino, California, an unnamed arborist was concerned… about a towering, top-heavy crooked palm tree… that had the potential to cause harm to humans and property… so he climbed the 100-foot leaning trunk… and, while he managed to trim the palm fronds… well, you can check out the video…

And finally, in Orlando, Florida, Frontier Airlines is offering free flights… to Orlando in October… if your name is…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
