TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) in the midst of a pandemic… but vaccines are coming (more every day)… though (apparently) you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

Some Odds & Ends

Ever wonder what would happen if you locked a leopard in a room with a dog? Wonder no more.

Think it’s a problem to have a rodent living under your porch? Try this.

And now for the main “events”:

In Stamford, Connecticut, an unnamed 37-year-old female driver and her male passenger found themselves in a truck… in a pond at Cummings Park here… how they got there is a whole other story…

In Columbus, Ohio, an unnamed man was involved in a multi-vehicle crash here on I-71… No one was injured, fortunately… well, not right away, anyway…

In Edmond, Oklahoma, Blakelee Sands, 18, called police to retrieve an item taken from her at a local bar. Probably not a good idea in this case…

In Escambia County, Florida, Eric Tyler Mathis, 25, has been charged with attempted carjacking, attempted burglary, three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a police K9… and looks it.

In Menifee, California, officers responding to a report of a burglary about 12:30 a.m. one recent morning arrived to find a man leaving a residence… that had damage, apparently from a break-in… A Riverside County sheriff’s helicopter crew used their infrared device to detect a heat signature in a nearby van… which turned out to have six men inside… and then officers also found a man hiding in the backyard… a discarded gun… oh, and a man and a woman who occupied the home… and then they actually entered the house… and found…

In Detroit, Michigan, India Gardner was at work… only to return home and find that she was the victim of a porch pirate… one like you wouldn’t believe… and yes, we have video…

In Wiscasset, Maine, Kristen Crowley, 35, had some trouble negotiating an intersection here… and ran her Hyundai Sonata off the road… about a quarter to midnight one recent Saturday… As it turns out she didn’t need to call police…

And finally, in Chesterfield, New York, the landlord of Weiming Liu, 57, requested a property-tax reduction under the state’s Farmland Assessment Act… but that was questioned after Chesterfield’s tax assessor conducted a “peripheral inspection”… and concluded the site was not in agricultural use… However, a subsequent, “more detailed on-site inspection”… led to another conclusion… though not a good one for Weiming Liu…

Have a GREAT Super Bowl Weekend, folks!
