TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) working our way through this pandemic… but while vaccines are coming (more every day), you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

Some Odds & End

Another Guinness World Record shattered… and yes, we have video.

A People Map of the U.S., where city names are replaced by their most Wikipedia’ed resident: people born in, lived in, or connected to a place.

So, how much would an unopened copy of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. bought in 1986 as a Christmas gift sell for today? Well, let’s just say that a copy of the same game sold for $114,000 in July. This one went for more… a lot more…

And now for the main “events”:

In Winter Haven, Florida, Shonteria Story, 34, was interested in acquiring a new vehicle… and had, in fact, been emailing with a sales associate at the Chevy Center to do just that… now, because of COVID restrictions, the sales associate couldn’t accompany Shonteria on the traditional test drive of the 2021 Chevy Equinox… so the associate made a copy of her license, told her to take a short test drive and return the vehicle… See where this is going?

In Bad Soden-Salmünster, Germany, an unnamed man (said to be in his 20s) walked into a bank here…  told the cashier to hand over (an as yet unknown amount of) cash… That said, as yet police are having trouble identifying the culprit… and no, it’s not what you may be thinking…

In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Laura Duksta left a couple of boxes in her car… parked outside her apartment… Then about 4 a.m. she heard a noise outside… and saw an SUV speeding away… and when she investigated, noticed that both windows of the vehicle had been smashed… now, as it turns out, the police were shortly thereafter able to corral the thieves… who, though they were suspected of other robberies in the area, surely had to be disappointed with the “take” from Laura’s vehicle…

An unnamed man (in an unnamed location) had apparently been told by neighbors that there was a treasure buried… in his garden… so he went about trying to find it… and, sure enough, he stumbled across a hidden concrete box with handles… and proceeded to unearth that “treasure”…

Near Salt Lake City, Utah, an unnamed driver learned the hard way the difference between a car… and a snowmobile…

And finally, I’m not sure whether it’s weirder that this number turned up in the North Carolina Education Lottery, that it’s done so three times in the past two weeks, or that 6,523 tickets picked it.

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
