TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) working our way through this pandemic…but while vaccines are coming (more every day), you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

Some Odds & Ends

You just never know what you’ll find under that old carpeting…

If this isn’t in the Guinness Book of World Records, it should be…

Near Krakow, Poland, animal welfare officers received a report of an unusual animal… lurking in a tree… “People aren't opening their windows because they’re afraid it will go into their house,” one woman reportedly said… So, what did it turn out to be?

And now for the main “events”:

In Davenport, Florida, Julio Lugo and Rosenide Venant submitted at least 70 false and fraudulent loan applications starting last spring to the Small Business Administration… to the tune of fraudulently collecting some $5.8 million in COVID relief money… Fortunately for us (and not so much for them), they’re also… well, see for yourself…

In Maryville, Tennessee, two unnamed women stopped by the local Dollar General about 10:30 am… with an eye toward buying several gift cards… not sure exactly how many they were looking to acquire… but they certainly came… loaded…

In Shell Rock, Iowa, an unnamed woman pulled up to the local Walmart in what may well be the world’s most compact vehicle… and yes, we have video…

Near Oakland, California, an unnamed 32-year-old man was speeding along 580 westbound here… accelerated to over 100 mph… was spotted—and pursued—by law enforcement… until the Maserati exited the freeway, drove up an embankment, and collided with… and yes, we have pictures…

And finally, in Enid, Oklahoma, Joshua Karpe, 34, stole a vehicle… and led law enforcement on an hour-long chase that covered nearly 100 miles, stretched across three counties, and required the participation of four different law enforcement agencies (the Oklahoma City Police Department, the Enid Police Department, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office)… ultimately leading one to wonder what would cause one to steal a truck that’s… very, very easy to spot and doesn’t go very fast… my guess? He was hungry.

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!
