TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) working our way through this pandemic…but vaccines are coming (more every day), but you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

Some Odds & Ends

In Springdale, Pennsylvania, a 133-car train hit a tractor-trailer here… like a ton of… literally. And yes, we have pictures.

The oldest bottle of whiskey in the world is about to go on sale…

There are bucket lists… and then there are weird bucket lists… just ask Gareth Wild…

And now for the main “events”:

In Lodi Township, Michigan, Wayne Lambarth finds himself in a bit of a snit with his neighbor… know how they say that good fences make good neighbors? Not like this.

In Queens, New York, Kevin McKenzie was stopped by officials at John F. Kennedy International Airport… caught attempting to smuggle (purportedly for a sum of $3,000) in an unusual product stuffed in hair curlers and taped to his body… after a five-hour flight from Guyana… so, what was Kevin smuggling?

In Mars Hill, Maine, state police received a call from an unnamed woman who had her eye on a man (Tony Dubuc, 34) who was sitting in his truck near her home… before running up and down the street… before stealing her Jeep Grand Cherokee… and then things got (really) weird…

In Central City, Pennsylvania, Nathaniel Gibbons, 31, was a suspect in a series of thefts of chainsaws from a tree-trimming company’s work trucks… guess where they found him…

In Salford, UK, Emma Lavelle, 30, was riding in an Uber… when she noticed her driver going in the wrong direction… and then saw that their car was heading straight towards the Bridgewater Canal waterway… she repeatedly asked her driver to stop… but he ignored her advice, electing instead to follow his navigation software… so guess what happened next? But even weirder…

In Ocala, Florida, Joshua Snavely, 36, strolled into a Bank of America branch here… read the teller a prepared note, saying that he was robbing the bank and that she was to give him money… at which point the teller looked to a coworker… who then activated the alarm… and then both tellers went to the back of the bank and called police… offering a description from the surveillance video… guess where police found Joshua?

And finally, in Omaha, Nebraska, Betty Miserez and her friend Robert Thompson were awake at 1:00 a.m. one day last month… when law enforcement showed up at the door… inquiring as to their well-being… well, they were fine, as it turned out… or at least they were until they were presented with a bill from the City of Omaha False Alarm Watchdog Crywolf Services… for a false alarm report… four notices, in fact… the first a $25 fee then $45 when she didn’t pay on time… and then a warning could be another $100 if the alarm system isn’t registered… there’s just one problem…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks!  Where has April gone??!!
