TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Yes, we’re (still) working our way through this pandemic… but we’re heading up on a three-day weekend, and it looks to be a good one… but you (still) can’t “shelter” stupid… just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

Some Odds & Ends

The best way(s) to cook a hot dog.

How tall can a Lego tower get? Apparently there’s an answer.

Oh please God no…

Chouquette Chocolates is promoting a special new “treat”… once every 17 years… can you guess?

So, that’s why they call them the Florida “keys”…

Apparently retirement isn’t the only thing Americans are (too?) confident about.

And now for the main “events”:

Near Aurora, Nebraska, Robert Jones, 37, was pulled over on Interstate 80 here… for following another car too closely… he was probably in a hurry…

In Huntington, New York, Anthony Ragusa, 50, applied for disability benefits in 2013… claiming he was injured badly while on the job as an electrician… noting that he could not bend over to put on shoes, walk for more than 15 minutes, sit for more than 30 minutes… and was in so much pain he could not work at all… apparently he’s recovered…

In El Paso, Texas, Lucy Rae, a litigation assistant in the Lovett Law Firm’s personal injury division… for reasons unknown, engaged in a bit of… monkey business… but not the kind you might be thinking of…

In Sioux City, Iowa, Lee Bowman, 53, was troubled because his neighbor hadn’t mowed his lawn… this was not the way to deal with it…

In ClearwaterFlorida, Ann Walsh, 60, attacked her “beau,” 64… however, the “physical altercation” involved some unusual “instruments”…

In Erie County, Ohio, Devin Staugh, 28, had a custody dispute… with his parents… involving… a turtle?

And finally, on May 22, 2010, California student Jeremy Sturdivant, 19, noticed a bizarre request on a cryptocurrency internet forum… he could receive 10,000 bitcoins if he delivered a pizza to Florida resident Lazlo Hanyecz, 28… well, he did so, and received the promised payment… at the time worth $41… leading to the designation of May 22 as “Bitcoin Pizza Day”… now, on the day of the transaction, those bitcoins were said to be worth $41… guess what they are worth today? Or would be if…

Have a GREAT Memorial Day weekend, folks! Never forget the sacrifices and the individuals we commemorate today.

We’ll be off on Monday—but we’ll see you back here with your NAPA Net Daily on Tuesday!
