TGIF. No, Really.

TGIF

Well, here we are again—and yes, you (apparently still) can’t “shelter” stupid… just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some ‘Odds & Ends’

Cause you can never have too many pictures of vintage scarecrows…

Well, that’s one way to get out of jury duty…

Ohioans are getting some new license plates…well, once they fix one little thing, anyway…

How To Calculate Exactly How Much Halloween Candy You Should Buy for Trick-or-Treaters—math courtesy of the good folks at Popular Mechanics.

And now for the main ‘events’:

Near Mount Elbert, Colorado, an unnamed hiker went missing… and the local search and rescue wasn’t able to find them… and repeated calls to the aforementioned hiker went unanswered… adding to the concerns… The good news is, the hikers returned home more than 24 hours after beginning their hike… so, why didn’t they answer their calls?…

In Dublin, Georgia, Vinath Oudomsine was charged with one count of wire fraud… after the government said he lied about how many employees he had and the revenue his business generated in an application for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan, or EIDL, during the pandemic… but you’ll never guess how he spent $57,000 of it…

In Barron County, Minnesota, the temperatures have been dropping… including overnight lows at or below freezing… but not quite yet cold enough for…

In Albany, New York, Tejuan D. Carter, 44, left work one day recently… but he left something behind… though it was (apparently) not work-related… but it was problematic for Tejuan…

Just in time for Halloween, near Springfield, Missouri, Michael Campbell, 46, described by the Smoking Gun as “the world’s scariest perp”… with a mugshot for the ages…

In Mondsee, Austria, a 31-year-old Swiss driver of a Lamborghini… found out the hard way the difference between all those pedals on the floor…

And finally, in Ipswich, UK, Alice Randle (as well as a number of other local residents) were unnerved by an eerie singing of a child’s nursery rhyme… by what seemed to be a young child… for more than a year… “at all times of the night—1 a.m., 2 a.m., 4 a.m.—it was sporadic, sometimes it would play once, other times it was over and over. Last week it played for hours, it was just horrible,” she said… well, you’ll never guess what was causing the creepy sounds… and it was actually even more creepy…

Have a GREAT Halloween weekend, folks! Be on the lookout for trick-or-treaters this weekend!
