TGIF. No, Really.

Well, here we are again‚and yes, you (apparently still) can’t “shelter” stupid… just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some “Odds & Ends”

In Edinburgh, Scotland, Mark Thorne, 42, has something of an obsession with music… which might explain what he claims to have seen/found in his wife’s apple core… see for yourself…

The tallest teenager in the world…

Some unusual Valentine’s Day celebrations from around the world… Maybe next year…

For those who just can’t get enough of Titanic… well, maybe this will do it…

In Weston, Massachusetts, a tall truck and a low bridge had an unfortunate “encounter”… and yes, we have video…

And now for the main “events”:

In Ketchikan, Alaska, a postal service truck went up in flames… for no discernable reason… but then, apparently it’s not all that unusual…

In Winter Haven, Florida, an unnamed woman departed a local Walmart with two TVs and a sound bar… and asked two employees to help her load them into her car… They refused… but then there might have been a reason…

In Mattoon, Illinois, Matthew C. Bushman, 36, was being questioned by police… after being reportedly involved in forgery… Trying to throw them off the scent, he provided them with a fake name… and date of birth… but something unexpected gave him away…

In Old Springs Township, Michigan, there was a house robbery… literally…

In Orlando, Florida, Chelsea Alston, 32, was barred from boarding an airplane here… and then decided to speed off… well, sort of… but she did lead police on something of chase… and proved to be a difficult arrest… and yes, we have video…

And finally, in Bakersfield, California, the Bianchi Rock Cobbler is an extremely challenging 80-mile off-road bicycle race… one that includes major changes in the surface of the route… an elevation gain of about 6500 feet… and the occasional, unexpected, “natural” hazard… just ask Tony Inderbitzin… and yes, we have video…

Have a GREAT weekend, folks! We’ll be off Monday for the Presidents’ Day holiday—but we’ll see you back here on Tuesday (p.s. if you haven’t yet signed up for the NAPA 401(k) Summit, you had better get to it – https://napasummit.org).
