TGIF. No, Really.

Well, here we are again at the end of another workweek—and just look at what has happened to these guys and gals…

First, some “Odds & Ends”

In Rancho Cordova, California, gasoline got a whole lot cheaper… temporarily… thanks to (former) gas station manager John Szczecina… and a decimal point problem…

Leaks in your ceiling are never a good thing… but particularly not when you’re 30,000 feet high…

Think airline seats couldn’t get any more claustrophobic? Think again…

Squid Game—the reality show (sort of).

What happens if you wake up before your alarm?

So, what is the Guinness World Record for balancing a chainsaw on your head?

And now for the main “events”:

In Broward County, Florida, Tate Turner, 25, was driving in a marked construction zone… when he decided to hit a police car that was parked, lights flashing… nor was it accidental… so, why did he hit the police car… on purpose…

In Daytona Beach, Florida, Sterling Orlando Davis-Jones, 18, was arrested after stealing… at gunpoint… a vehicle… not exactly a high-speed choice… and one with which he failed to make a “clean” getaway… (and yes, we have pictures)…

And finally, in Chicago, Illinois, Whitley Temple, 34, for reasons still disputed, ran out of a home one recent evening “naked and irrational”… and holding a gun that she fired at witnesses… after which she fled in a vehicle… struck an AT&T truck… got out of the truck and ran around it… before returning to her car and driving away… then later getting out of her car in an alley… putting on shorts and flip flops while making random comments… then she drove away… and then got out of her car… where she tried to climb into passing cars… whereupon a police officer… who was responding to calls of shots fired (stemming from her initial gunfire)… saw her lying half-naked in the street and stopped to help… at which point Whitley got up, started saying his name repeatedly, and walked around him to get into the squad car’s driver’s seat… put the squad car in reverse, dragged the officer into another vehicle… drove off to a gas station, got out of the vehicle while it was still rolling… went into the station, then came back out… and drove away with the patrol car again (this is all on video)… then got onto the Eisenhower Expressway… weaving in and out of traffic at 97 MPH, and was still going 76 MPH when she exited… whereupon she began running red lights… striking five occupied cars… got out… and ran down the block until cops arrested her. So, what led to this series of events—and Whitley being charged with attempted murder of a police officer, vehicular hijacking, aggravated battery of a police officer, resisting, and possessing a stolen law enforcement vehicle…

Have a GREAT Father’s Day weekend, folks—particularly to all the dads!
