’Tis the Season – to Vote For Your Favorite Holiday Movie!

While many will be heading out early this week (some no doubt have already), but with the holiday season upon us, this week I thought it would be good to weigh in on a topic less weighty than tax reform.

After all, Hanukkah’s just past, Christmas and Kwanzaa are only a week off, and – while you may have missed it, National Cupcake Day was December 15.

This week, as has been our holiday tradition, I’d like to know: What is your favorite holiday movie?

Last year wresting the title away from It’s a Wonderful Life, and pushing aside Christmas Vacation – was A Christmas Story. In 2016 it was It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas Vacation and Elf, and in 2015, It was Miracle on 34th Street (traditional, with Natalie Wood), followed by It’s a Wonderful Life and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (with Yukon Cornelius, Hermey the elf who wanted to be a dentist, and… brrrr… the abominable!).

Now, “holiday” doesn’t have to be seasonal, though this is the season of the year that seems to have the largest assortment of films associated with the season. Regardless, we’ve got a good list for you to start with – and feel free to add other(s) that you don’t find on the list, but that you think are worthy of consideration.

Oh – and at a reader’s suggestion – we have a new category!

And, of course, we’ll wrap it all up for you in time for – the holiday weekend.
