Confirmation Hearing for DOL Nominee Puzder Delayed Again

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee’s confirmation hearing for Andrew Puzder, President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Labor, has been delayed again.

According to Politico, the hearing now will be held on Feb. 7. The hearing, originally set for Jan. 17, had been rescheduled for Feb. 2.

The second delay in Puzder’s confirmation hearing likely will have the ripple effect of further delaying clarity on what may happen with the Department of Labor’s fiduciary regulation under the Trump administration.
