TGIF. No, Really.

Think you’ve had a bad week? It could have been worse. Check out what happened to these guys… In Nairobi, Kenya, Julius Njogu, 28, wanted to gain some fame (and prize money) for his performance in Kenya's Nairobi International Marathon… and in fact he claimed second place in a sprint finish… after breezing past another competitor in the final stretch at Nyayo National Stadium… putting him in line to claim around $7,000 in prize money… there was just one little “catch”… Near Avilla, Indiana, Allie Carter, 25, was hunting waterfowl in the Tri-County Fish and Wildlife Area when she placed her 12-gauge shotgun on the ground… and became the victim of an accidental shooting… she didn’t do it, that was the result of her dog stepping on the weapon… but what’s really ironic is the name of her dog… In Bolzano, Italy, cleaning staff arrived at the Museion modern art gallery here… and set about cleaning up the aftermath of a party that had taken place there the night before… empty bottles strewn across the floor, cigarette butts, confetti and even shoes and clothes… quite the mess, by the look of it, and they got it all cleaned up… there was just one little problem… In DeKalb County, Georgia, Saladin Ghani, 50, was facing 20 years in prison on charges of identity fraud and theft after his neighbor accused him of stealing $7,000… as his two day trial drew to a close, Saladin panicked… told his attorney that he needed to answer nature’s call during a recess break… and just never came back… and then this happened. And finally, in Walpole, Massachusetts, Joel Ramer and his girlfriend took his Jeep off-roading here… and they landed in a mud pit. (To add insult to injury, Joel also got arrested and cited for trespassing and disturbing the peace… but I digress). So, Joel’s Jeep required a towing… which apparently required 12 hours to wrest the Jeep from the mud pit. Guess how much it cost? Guess again. No, higher… Have a great weekend, folks! Keep an eye out for the trick-or-treaters this weekend… and enjoy that extra hour of sleep as (most of our) clocks “fall back” this weekend!
